Therapy that teaches, supports, and respects your child.
Applied Behavior Analysis — ABA — is a research-based approach to understanding behavior and teaching meaningful skills. In plain language: we work with your child to build the skills that matter for everyday life, while gently supporting changes in behavior that get in the way.
ABA is the most widely studied therapy for autism. When delivered well, it helps children build communication, social, and daily living skills in a way that respects who they are. At Solara, we practice modern, assent-based ABA — therapy that pays close attention to your child’s comfort, dignity, and engagement, not just whether they completed a task.
A clear path from yourfirst call to real progress.
Every ABA program at Solara is built around your child — not a curriculum we run on every kid. Here’s how it comes together:
BenefitsVerification
Share your insurance details and our team will verify your coverage before therapy begins, so you clearly understand your benefits and next steps.
FunctionalAssessment
A BCBA completes a detailed assessment through observation, parent conversations, and age-appropriate evaluation tools to understand your child’s needs.
CustomizedPlan
treatment plan with clear goals, recommended therapy hours, and progress tracking tailored to your child and family.
Match & StartTherapy
Your child is paired with a therapist who fits their personality and needs, and sessions begin with ongoing support and program adjustments.
Play, practice, progress — woven together.
Sessions are play-based, child-paced, and tailored to your child’s needs each day. A typical session may include guided play, structured learning activities, communication practice, progress tracking, and family check-ins. Parents are always welcome to observe, participate, and ask questions along the way.
Therapy for the age and stage your child is in
Most of our ABA therapy work is with children between ages 2 and 12 — but every plan is shaped to where your child actually is developmentally, not just their birthday.
Ages 2–5Foundations
The most critical window for early skills. We focus on communication, social engagement, and play.
Ages 6–12Building & Bridging
Communication grows into conversation. Routines become more independent. Social skills get more complex. We meet your child where they are.
Older children & teenscase-by-case
We evaluate older clients individually. Reach out and we’ll let you know if we’re the right fit.
