Common signs of autism
Having one or more of these signs does not necessarily mean your child has autism, but it may be helpful to speak with your pediatrician or seek an evaluation. Early identification can provide access to valuable services and support that help children reach their fullest potential.
While every child is unique, some common signs of autism may include:
- Delayed speech or language development
- Difficulty interacting or playing with others
- Strong preference for routines and difficulty with changes
- Sensitivity to sounds, lights, textures, or touch
- Limited eye contact or response to their name
- Repetitive movements, such as hand flapping or rocking
- Intense interests in specific toys or topics

What happens after an autism diagnosis?
Receiving an autism diagnosis can bring many emotions — but it also opens the door to services and support that can help your child thrive. At Solara ABA, we’re here to guide your family through the next steps with compassion and expertise
Comprehensive ABA assessment
Once your child has received an autism diagnosis, one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts completes a comprehensive assessment of their communication, social, play, daily living, behavior, and learning needs — identifying strengths and creating a roadmap for meaningful progress.
Personalized treatment plan
Using the assessment results, your BCBA develops an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs. Goals may focus on communication, social interaction, play, adaptive skills, independence, emotional regulation, and reducing behaviors that interfere with learning.
Insurance authorization
Our experienced administrative team submits the treatment plan to your insurance provider and manages the authorization process on your behalf. We keep you informed throughout each step so you know exactly what to expect.
Meet your therapy team
Once services are approved, we thoughtfully match your child with a dedicated BCBA and therapy team, chosen around your child’s personality, strengths, clinical needs, and your family’s scheduling preferences.
Therapy begins
Your child begins individualized ABA therapy in one of our welcoming clinics or in the comfort of your home. Sessions are engaging, play-based, and evidence-based, building communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
Ongoing family support
Families are at the center of everything we do. Your BCBA regularly reviews progress, updates treatment goals, provides parent training, and works with your family so skills carry over into everyday life.
